Fox Sports borrows Fox News studio for ‘NFL Thursday’ pregame

Fox’s “Thursday Night Football” pregame show will ditch the network’s normal NFL home on the West Coast in favor of New York City this season.

Broadcasting from sister network Fox News, “Fox NFL Thursday” will utilize Studio F, which provides a street-side location for the program along with sweeping LED video walls.

This location, along the Avenue of the Americas, allows the program to create an outdoor broadcast area complete with fake turf and a cheering fanbase.

Michael Strahan, Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long host the pregame show, which will begin airing when Fox picks up “TNF” coverage on September 27 as the Minnesota Vikings visit the Los Angeles Rams.

“Thursday Night Football” officially begins on week two of the NFL regular season but airs on NFL Network exclusively for the first two games.

Fox’s Thursday night games will also live stream on Amazon’s Prime Video service.

Fox Sports “soft launched” the new Thursday night setup during the NFL preseason as the Cleveland Browns visited the Detroit Lions on August 30.
