Dylan Dryer joined Holt live from Studio 3A back in New York City, the normal home of ‘NBC Nightly News,’ where she used the studio’s video tower to showcase weather maps of Hurricane Michael.

Holt then moved to a stationary camera setup, where other news of the day was reported using OTSs.

During Houston-related coverage, including a look back at the damaged left by Hurricane Harvey, the broadcast added a red ‘Across America’ tier to its lower thirds accented by two stars.

For the last block, Holt moved in front of a food truck to introduced a story about Tex Mex cuisine.

Before signing off, Holt previewed his next stop in Montgomery, Alabama, with a custom designed map featuring the signpost logo.

The newscast closed wit Holt surrounded by a small crowd behind him.
