After taking a detour through Panama City, Florida, “NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt is picking up his “Across America” tour Thursday evening in Kansas City, according to a tweet posted by the city’s NBC affiliate.
The show was scheduled to originate from Miami Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, but Hurricane Michael coverage forced NBC to reroute Holt to the Florida panhandle.

Holt will presumably then travel to San Diego for Friday’s edition of “Nightly” as planned. There is no word if NBC will “make up” its visit to Miami at some point in the future.
