Chinese network adds female AI ‘robot’ anchor

Less than a week after launching an “upgrade” to its male artificial intelligence “anchor” — there’s now a female one getting ready to “start work” at the state run Xinhua News Agency (新华通讯社).

This new “anchor” goes by the name Xin Xiaomeng and will make her debut during coverage of the country’s “two sessions” political meetings between legislative delegates and political advisers this month.
