First look at Canadian election studios

Canadians head to the polls today, Monday, Oct. 21, with the network’s going wall-to-wall this evening for results specials. 

Just like four years ago, when Justin Trudeau saw a sweeping electoral mandate, a variety of special looks will be utilized to help break down the results. 

Global News, which normally relies on a virtual set for its daily broadcasts, has erected a purpose-built studio with a massive LED video wall. 

CTV News, meanwhile, is again repurposing the studio of CTV News Toronto.

National broadcaster CBC News has created a special studio that matches the edgy look of “The National” with vertical media pillars and a giant arcing desk.
