CNN has announced its plans for coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 23rd edition of the World Cup, the largest in the tournament’s history, begins June 11, 2026, and will feature 104 matches across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

CNN will report from host cities and other key locations, providing breaking news, analysis, feature reporting and interviews with athletes throughout the competition.

The network is branding its coverage under the name “North America 2026” in order to avoid using FIFA trademarks.

CNN Sports anchors Amanda Davies, Don Riddell and Patrick Snell will headline the network’s daily coverage.

Riddell and Snell will anchor from Atlanta, the official home of U.S. Soccer, while Davies will travel from London to the United States for the knockout rounds. Coy Wire and Andy Scholes will report from each Team USA match, bringing viewers coverage from inside the host venues.

CNN en Español will provide extensive coverage for Spanish-speaking audiences. Elizabeth Perez will anchor during the opening week from Mexico City before reporting from Kansas City, Miami and New York, where the final will be played July 19. Maria Santana will contribute reporting from several host cities, including New York, Boston and Philadelphia. Fernando del Rincon will host livestream events on CNN en Español’s YouTube channel throughout the tournament.

Beyond the action on the field, CNN correspondents will cover the wider stories surrounding the World Cup across North America, including the cultural, economic and community impact of the event.

CNN’s digital coverage will include live updates, video reporting and “The Beautiful Game,” a daily newsletter focused on the tournament’s major storylines. Ben Church will contribute from London, working with CNN journalists across North America, including Dana O’Neil and Hannah Keyser, who will report from key matches on both coasts. The newsletter will be delivered each morning.
