Chyron powers graphics workflows for Telemundo’s World Cup broadcasts
Chyron’s Prime 5 graphics platform supported more than 700 hours of NBCUniversal Telemundo’s FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage across Telemundo, Universo and Peacock.
The platform handled live graphics workflows for all 104 matches, including HDR graphics production and real-time data integration. It also enabled production teams to manage graphics for as many as four matches at the same time.
Telemundo’s creative teams used Prime 5’s Adobe After Effects workflow and template architecture to convert broadcast designs into live motion graphics. The system integrated live data from SPORTSAPP, SMT and FIFA.
NBCUniversal Telemundo said its coverage averaged a total audience delivery of 6.3 million viewers across the tournament, an increase of 143% from 2022.
The Mexico-South Korea match delivered a total audience of 14 million viewers, while the Spain-Argentina final attracted 22.6 million viewers, according to figures included in Chyron’s announcement.
“Chyron is incredibly proud to have played a role in the success of Telemundo Network, Universo and Peacock’s historic FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage,” Aldo Campisi, vice president for Latin America, the Caribbean and French Canada at Chyron, said. “Supporting one of the world’s largest and most demanding sports productions in the world is both a privilege and a testament to the power of Prime 5. From HDR production and advanced template workflows to real-time data integration and multi-channel scalability, Prime 5 supported the graphics needs of one of the world’s largest live sports productions to enable an extraordinary viewing experience for millions of fans. We congratulate our partners at NBCUniversal and Telemundo on their record-breaking success and are honored that Chyron technology contributed to this landmark achievement.”
“Delivering a tournament of this scale required graphics tools that could support multiple productions simultaneously while maintaining creative consistency across every broadcast. Prime 5 was one of the technologies that helped our team execute that vision,” Fabian Albarracin, director of real-time graphics at Telemundo, NBCUniversal, said.
