Telemundo Colorado, KDEN, debuted a refreshed Noticias Telemundo Colorado studio as the 2026 World Cup got underway.

The Denver station, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group, said the upgraded space includes a new news desk from the Telemundo Scenic Fabrication Shop, new lighting design and two large LED monitor walls.

“We’re incredibly excited to unveil the renovated home of Noticias Telemundo Colorado. This investment reflects our commitment to local journalism, storytelling, and the future of media in Colorado,” said Tatiana Arguello, president and general manager of Telemundo Colorado and Telemundo Utah.

“What audiences see today is far more than a refreshed studio — it’s the result of teamwork, creativity, determination, and a shared commitment to better serving our community,” said Arguello.

The station said the project was designed to support a more dynamic production environment for journalists and viewers.

In an on-air package about the launch, station personnel said the studio refresh is intended to strengthen local newscasts and highlighted Telemundo’s continued investment in its owned-local markets.

“I think they will be able to immediately notice the difference from last week’s show to this week. We’re going to have the best, better lights, better monitors, and we want to give our audience the best presentation so they can enjoy the newscast even more,” said Efren Barvosa, senior production operations specialist, in a video released by the station.

The station also highlighted the role of the new weather display and other tools in explaining severe weather, emergencies and other high-impact information.

“This new weather authority screen and the new technological tools help us better explain complex information, especially during severe weather, emergencies or any information of impact for Telemundo Colorado,” said Emmanuel López-Capó, news director.
