Fox One recorded an estimated 2.8 million sign-ups in June as the FIFA World Cup drove the streaming service’s largest acquisition month since its August 2025 launch.
The June total surpassed the previous monthly high of 1.1 million sign-ups in January, when the NFL playoffs were underway, according to estimates from Antenna. The World Cup’s opening day on June 11 generated about 400,000 sign-ups.
Fox One held the exclusive English-language streaming rights in the United States for the tournament.
Direct distribution accounted for 40% of the service’s June sign-ups, making it the largest individual acquisition channel.
YouTube Primetime Channels, which began distributing Fox One on June 1, represented 15% of June sign-ups. Most of that activity occurred after the World Cup began June 11.
Amazon Channels accounted for 19% of June sign-ups. The platform had previously generated 58% of Fox One sign-ups from the service’s launch through May.

Most of the June customers were first-time Fox One subscribers. New subscribers accounted for 93% of gross additions, while 7% were returning customers who had canceled within the previous 12 months.
Subscriber retention during the opening weeks of the 2026-27 NFL season could provide an indication of how many June customers remained with the service after the World Cup.
