Colbert utilized this set, built inside former storage space inside the Ed Sullivan Theater building, from August 10, 2020, through summer 2021.

‘Late Show’ returns to NYC with recreation of Colbert’s office as set

During this time the show was also branded as “A Late Show,” a nod to the fact the show was not the normal “Late Show” with a live band and audience.
