MediaDailyNews also points out the irony that NBC has elected to us the moniker rather than, since the station serves the Ft. Lauderdale area as well and other NBC stations in similar situations have opted for a more regional tilt (, for example).

It is good news to see going away; using a .net extension was never a good idea since many consumers assume Web URLs end in .com.
