CNN has announced plans to launch its “TV Everywhere” effort later this year.

The announcement, made at SXSW, will give Time Warner, Comcast, Xfinity, Dish, Cox and Verizon FiOS subscribers watch streams from CNN and other Time Warner properties via a myriad of devices.

In addition, CNN is planning to offer a revamped online video player that features HD clips. Online video is a major component of the network’s offerings, with the site averaging 60 to 80 million streams a month — and 60 million last Friday alone via a homepage designed to make accessing coverage of the Japanese earthquake easier.
