CNN launched CNNEnEspanol.com today.
The site, which emphasizes the growing importance of the Hispanic and Spanish-language demographic plays to media companies, includes a variety of content ranging from text stories, video reports and behind-the-scenes content from its sister cable channel.
Cynthia Hudson, Senior Vice President and General Manager for CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN/U.S. said in a statement: “This is a new platform available to our audience to get all the breaking news they have come to expect from us and at the same time an invitation to establish an enhanced level of engagement with CNN en Español. Now our massive social media following has a space to interact directly with our network and gain privileged access to our content.”
CNNEnEspanol.com is part of the CNN Digital Network and also incorporates the channel’s already popular Twitter and Facebook accounts, with 1.5 million followers and 850,000 fans, respectively.
