Reporter uses iPad to do iPad launch standups
What do you do if you’re covering the launch of the iPad 3 and your satellite truck won’t work? Grab your iPad, of course.
KTLA-TV reporter Rich DeMuro was in San Francisco for today’s big Apple announcement when technical difficulties meant the crew’s satellite truck was out of commission.
So, instead, DeMuro used his (now outdated) iPad and the Skype app to connect with the station and do live video reports. As shown in the photo above, a crew member held the iPad up in front of him to capture him with the built-in camera.
DeMuro tweeted about the situation:
I could get used to the whole iPad live shot thing. It's a pretty amazing use of technology. twitter.com/richdemuro/sta…— Rich DeMuro (@richdemuro) March 7, 2012
