Charlotte ABC to debut new set before Democratic convention

A week before the Democratic National Convention, WSOC-TV ABC 9 will unveil its new set in Charlotte.

Julie Szulczewski, news director of WSOC-TV, told the Charlotte Observer the newsroom view will be removed and be replaced with a “more contemporary look with cityscapes in the background.”

The set is expected to debut August 26. The current set was designed by FX Design Group.
