ABC News has added a series of five new promos that feature the stories of viewers whose lives have been influenced by stories featured on “World News with Diane Sawyer.”

TVNewser reports that one of the spots highlights a California woman’s story of how, after seeing a “World News” story on CPR, her son was able to administer lifesaving CPR to his father after he had a heart attack on the golf course.

The campaign is accompanied by the the Twitter hashtag #MyWorldNewsStory, where viewers are encouraged to share their own stories of how stories on the broadcast have impacted their lives.

Although the promotions don’t use the network’s “See the whole picture” tagline, the campaign does tie in nicely to the concept of comprehensive reporting that affects people’s lives.

The spots themselves have an interesting way to showcase the video from “World News” being discussed in the promos. Instead of simply showing the video clips fullscreen, the images are shown as being played on the set’s backlit column mounted monitors while camera movements give additional visual interest.
