BBC anchor reaches for iPad, ends up with ream of copy paper

Rushing to get on air, BBC anchor Simon McCoy saw what he thought was his iPad and grabbed it before going on air. Turns out it he only got the  “pad” part of “iPad” right — he ended up snatching a pad of paper.

Of course, 500 sheets of paper ends up being quite a bit thicker than any tablet, so McCoy ended up on air awkwardly holding a ream of copy paper during his entire report, while also giving the paper manufacturer some great free publicity.

It is interesting (and perhaps a little ironic) that there pack a of paper sitting right next to an iPad, which are becoming a popular way to avoid paper scripts.
