Brianfart: Meme with Brian Williams typo circulates

Today is, in case you didn’t know, the day embattled NBC anchor Brian Williams returns to NBCUniversal, appearing on MSNBC‘s coverage of the Pope’s visit to the U.S.

WTTG-TV, the Fox O&O in Washington, D.C. was discussing Williams’ return when it apparently aired the lower third banner shown above.

Look closely at the spelling of “Brian.”

Looks like someone wasn’t using their brian … errr …. brain.

The image, which NewscastStudio hasn’t been able to independently verify is authentic, has begun circulating online — turned into the meme with the clever tagline “Brianfart” added:
