‘Mega News’ goes big with clean, modern set

Mega TV, based in Miami and owned by Spanish Broadcasting Systems, debuted a new home for its “Mega News” broadcasts.

The set, from Aldo Alvarez at Sabca Productions, combines a modern look that mixes blues, whites and gray with technology accents and internally lit elements.

One side of the set features the sit down area, with a high glass table backed by printed graphics a stack of internally lit boxes in varying shades. A textural wall with branded glass panels with standoffs is also included.

Moving toward the center of the studio, a 9-panel video array is featured prominent before the wall transitions to another, eye-catching configuration of internally lit boxes backed with additional printed graphics.

The set also includes an additional standup area with wall mounted flat screen.

Throughout the set, blocky headers coordinate well with the stacks of boxes found elsewhere on the set, while strategic accent lighting, particularly on the solid, textural walls, adds a nice touch of detail and depth.
