Vizrt launches customizable election graphics system

Vizrt will introduce its “Election Night” package at the upcoming NAB Show, giving stations a complete platform for real-time polling and voting data with integrated graphics and social media.

“Broadcasters need to present a huge amount of data very clearly on election night,” said David Jorba, president of Vizrt Americas. “The new Election Night package takes that data and easily displays it with custom graphics or in a compelling interactive election map with results that can be highlighted for each voting region.”

The package includes interactive and customizable templates, that can be used in a broadcasters existing Viz workflow or as a standalone system-in-a-box.

“Using the system broadcasters can collect all of that data and output it very easily into a ticker, full screen image or into a broadcaster’s normal graphics templates. It’s really a powerful expansion of our Social TV solution,” said Jorba.

The system supports interactive maps for presidential, congressional, senate, and governor race coverage, along with social media displays.

In terms of data, the solution can handle feeds from multiple election data providers, such as AP and RSS feeds, with visualization and 3D graphics.
