Fox’s ‘First 100 Days’ debuts from Studio F

The show starts off the hour with a full screen graphic and title card featuring the title in a mix of narrow and wide sans serif typography.

The view then switches to a handheld camera that starts with the chandelier as its focus point before sweeping sideways to show MacCallum at the anchor desk.

No announcer is used — and the shot quickly changes to a tight one shot on MacCallum framed against one of the studio’s windows with red brake lights from the outside traffic prominently visible.

For in-studio guests, the network uses the wide, handheld shots again, with the guest seated so a part of the video chandelier serves as his or her background.

For music, Fox went with a sound that has elements of dubstep and electronica, rather than the normal brassy and horn-filled sound the network tends to favor.
