Video walls
Of course, Studio 1A’s new video wall is part of a trend not only at NBC, but in broadcast design in general, that uses LED panels.
The new “NBC Nightly News” studio that debuted in July 2017 makes generous use of video walls — over 600 square feet of the panels — and also features a so-called “vista wall” alcove that has some similarities to the “Today” corner.
Another part of the “Today” family, “Megyn Kelly Today,” also makes use of large video walls. Kelly’s set, in Studio 6A, was designed by Jack Morton Worldwide.
