‘Today’ continues to break in its new set

In addition to serving as the background for both seated setups, the video wall, from Leyard, was also used as a standup venue to introduce a segment on cybersecurity, with the entire span filled with a topical graphic — while the logo sculpture to the left was lit bright white with a blue background to match.

The screen was also used to toss to correspondent Tom Costello in the network’s Washington, D.C. bureau.

The video wall also was featured prominently in “coming up” segments, including with that title, in letters spanning nearly floor to ceiling, along with four animated boxes with the sunrise icon changing to reveal imagery from each story being promoted.

The new Studio 1A was designed by Clickspring Design with fabrication by Mystic Scenic Studios. The Lighting Design group lit the space with LED technology from Leyard.
