Baltimore CBS debuts new set with ‘glass box green room’

In addition to the new set, WJZ also switched over to the CBS O&O graphics package from Linear Drift.

The new look, like the versions used at its counterparts, uses the CBS eye’s round footprint as a base, with blue, white and gold curved elements.

WJZ kept its familiar Channel 13 logo design, which is a departure from the normal logotypes used at many other CBS O&Os. The station also retained its call letters in the individual boxes below the logo — with the word “Baltimore” parked below.

This represents a variation from the so-called “CBS mandate” branding that many CBS O&Os have switched to or experimented with in the past.

WJZ also retained its “Chroma Cuesnews music package, instead of switching to “The Enforcer,” which is used by most other CBS O&Os.
