ESPN’s coverage of the U.S. Open is served up with a well crafted, glassy interpretation of tennis rackets and balls.

Rendered in a translucent ice blue, the full sequence starts using the “sides” of the racket — with image and text accents worked in.

As the sequence continues, it becomes clearer that the shapes are part of a 3D rendering of a tennis racket, complete with glassy interwoven strings and balls placed next to it.

In the background, the skyline of New York City is visible, along with light blurs and accents.

Meanwhile, a triumphant track from Figure and Groove plays in the background.
