Sky TV subscribers will now get access to Disney+ content through their existing plans.
Customers who pay for Sky TV’s traditional MVPD service or receive it through streaming devices, including new and existing subscribers, will get access to Disney+ Standard with Ads, including most of those who pay for Sky Q, the company’s media platform that is being phased out in favor of Sky Stream and Sky Glass.
In the U.K., Disney+ starts at £5.99 per month (about $8 U.S.).
The change follows Sky’s earlier announcement that HBO Max with Ads, Hayu and Netflix would be bundled into Sky TV Ultimate, though HBO Max and Hayu are still marked as “coming soon.”
Streaming content from all of these providers varies from U.S. offerings based on regional licensing deals. Sky Group is owned by Comcast.
Sky TV Ultimate, currently £22 a month, will increase to £24 a month from April 1, 2026. That price requires a two-year commitment and Sky notes that the price may change during the term. For subscribers who prefer a month-to-month option, the package costs £25 per 31-day period. The Ultimate tier also includes access to Sky-exclusive channels and content.
Sky subscribers who pay for Disney+ separately will be able to migrate their profiles, allowing them to preserve watch history, recommendations and other personalization features. Subscribers on higher Disney+ tiers, including plans bought directly from Disney or through third-parties, can also move their accounts under Sky for combined billing and savings of up to £5.99 per month.
Disney is offering prorated refunds for those who have prepaid for Disney+ and link their accounts to a Sky profile.
Users who subscribe directly to Disney or third-party services may need to perform a migration and then manually cancel their old billing plan in order to avoid double-paying for the streamer.
All Sky Glass, Sky Stream and most Sky Q customers who have Disney+ through Sky already don’t need to take any action for the discount to be applied automatically.
Sky Stream and Sky Glass customers with Ultimate TV, most Sky Q customers and Sky Essential TV customers with Sky Cinema are also eligible for a streamlined account-creation process by saying “get Disney+” into their voice remote.
In addition to those changes, Sky OS will also support tighter integration with Disney+, including incorporating content into the “continue watching” section of the user interface. Voice remote commands related to Disney+ content will also be supported.
The new arrangement also includes a new linear channel, called Disney+ Cinema, to eligible Sky Cinema subscribers. Available on Channel 305 at no additional cost, the channel will features a rotating selection of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars brands.
Around 50 Disney+ titles will be available at launch and new options will be added each week. Sky Cinema gives subscribers access to a selection of film titles plus access to Paramount+ and two movie theater tickets starting at £9 a month, though that price will increase £1 April 1.
