NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group has launched Noticias Telemundo Suroeste, a new free, ad-supported streaming channel featuring local news and programming from Telemundo-owned stations across the Southwest.
The 24-hour Spanish-language channel is now available through the digital platforms of participating Telemundo-owned stations and on Amazon Fire TV Channels. Telemundo said it will also be added to more FAST platforms soon.
“Soureste” translates to “Southwest” in English.
Noticias Telemundo Suroeste brings together locally produced news, weather, sports, investigative reporting, consumer coverage and community stories from Telemundo 39 Phoenix, Telemundo Colorado, Telemundo Utah, Telemundo Las Vegas, Telemundo 40 Tucson and Telemundo Nuevo México.
“Our goal is to make trusted local news and information available to Spanish-speaking communities wherever they are watching,” said José Cancela, president of Telemundo Station Group, in a statement. “With Noticias Telemundo Suroeste, audiences across the region have free, around-the-clock access to the local stories, updates and programming that help keep them informed and connected.”
The channel is designed for viewers in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado with a regional lineup that includes live and encore newscasts, weather coverage, lifestyle programming, public affairs shows, community reports, specials and live events.
Programming highlights include a regional weekday morning newscast, launching June 2, 2026, that airs live from 8 to 9 a.m. MT and 7 to 8 a.m. PT.
The channel also includes daily live local newscasts from Telemundo-owned stations in Arizona, Las Vegas and Denver, including midday, evening and late-night coverage. Other programming includes “Noticias Telemundo Nuevo México: Enfoque,” a weekly public affairs program focused on issues affecting New Mexico’s Spanish-speaking communities, and “Acceso Total,” a lifestyle and entertainment program featuring interviews, local events and community stories.
Telemundo did not mention if similar offerings might be in the works for other regions of the country. The group owns stations covering much of the continental U.S. plus Puerto Rico, with the Southwest representing a significant geographic cluster.
The group also has six stations in California that could potentially be used to create a similar FAST. Texas has five stations and Florida has four, while the remaining members of the group are more disparate, serving cities in Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Virginia and Puerto Rico.
Additional offerings include “Telemundo Las Vegas — Tu Semana en 30 Minutos,” a weekly recap of major stories from the Las Vegas area, as well as encore local newscasts from Telemundo Phoenix-Tucson, Telemundo Las Vegas, Telemundo Nuevo México, Telemundo Utah and Telemundo Colorado. The channel also will feature locally produced specials highlighting the people, culture and issues shaping Hispanic communities across the Southwest.
Viewers can access Noticias Telemundo Suroeste through the “Noticias 24/7” tab on participating Telemundo-owned stations’ desktop and mobile websites, as well as through their iOS and Android apps. The channel also is available on station OTT apps through Apple, Roku and Fire TV devices and in the Fire TV Channels lineup.
Telemundo Station Group operates four other free, 24-hour regional news streaming channels: Noticias Telemundo California, Noticias Telemundo Florida, Noticias Telemundo Noreste and Noticias Telemundo Texas. It also operates Telemundo Puerto Rico. Those channels are available on major streaming and connected TV platforms and through the websites and apps of Telemundo-owned stations.
NBCUniversal Local’s streaming portfolio, launched in January 2022, also includes streaming channels from the 11 NBC-owned stations, offering 24-hour access to local news, lifestyle programming and original content. The portfolio also includes NBC LX Home, which streams lifestyle and entertainment programming from LXTV Productions.
