2026 Winter Olympics

The Italian cities of Milano and Cortina were announced as the host cities for the 2026 XXV Winter Olympic Games in 2019. Milan is also known as “Milano,” which is considered the Italian spelling of the name. While most non-network specific branding also uses this spelling, some networks, such as NBC, opted to use the “Milan” spelling of the name, presumably because it may be more familiar to American audiences. Cortina is used more consistently, however.
