Morning shows go heavy on team coverage for Spain attacks coverage

‘The Today Show’

On NBC News‘ “Today Show,” the network used its standard red breaking news graphics during the tease. After an anchor open, key points were displayed on the production area’s reconfigurable video wall, which was combined into a single, cohesive unit.

After several facts appeared, the handheld camera view moved to a triptych of the studio’s mobile vertical flatscreens showing three members of the NBC News team standing by for live updates. 

“Today” also used the same red background used on “NBC Nightly News” the previous evening.
