WIVB-TV, CBS affiliate in Buffalo, N.Y. has debuted a new set and HD news.

The new set, from FX Group, includes an anchor area backed by nearly-seamless flat panels with a cityscape dura on one side and monitor wall on the other. The set also includes a smaller-size anchor desk that can be expanded to accommodate additional talent.

The set also includes a standup area with flat panel array and a new weather center. The station has also overhauled its graphics and logo to shine in HD.

Getting a new on air look has been a long process for the station, which is reported to have spent $2.5 million on the HD upgrades, set and other changes.

The station has posted a slideshow of the set installation and finished product on its website.
