Charlotte’s WCNC-TV, the city’s NBC affiliate, debuted a new set today. Here are some preliminary screen captures of the set in use during the station’s 4 p.m. newscast. The set was designed by James Yates Production Design, NewscastStudio has confirmed.

The station also has photos of the new set in a gallery.

New new set is dominated by bright blue hues and backlit surfaces, as well as some printed graphic elements ad flat screen monitors.

In addition to the studio set, the station also uses its newsroom and a handheld camera to broadcast portions of the newscast.
