Virtual goats take over CNN

No, that headline isn’t an early April Fools’ Day joke.

CNN’s Tom Foreman put the network’s virtual technology to use today to demonstrate some suggestions the White House received from Americans on how to save money.

Some of the examples simply showed still photos or videos behind foreman on virtual “rear projection screens.”

Others, well, got a bit more creative.

At one point during the segment, Foreman found himself surrounded by a virtual stack of papers and even “threw” out a virtual penny that instantly grew in size and floated in midair. Perhaps the strangest, however, was when Foreman found himself in the midst of grazing goats.

The virtual studio’s floor even changed to a shade of green when the goats popped up on screen.
