The Weather Channel has released the latest version of its iOS app.
The app, which is available from the iTunes Store now, offers up a streamlined design and access to more layers of weather data.
Another key upgrade is a new social weather component, which allows users to report weather conditions and photos from their current locations. Data collected via this may be used by the channel to improve forecasting abilities.
Other improvements include faster radar maps, the ability to swipe left and right to view favorite locations and a tweaked app icon.
The app is also “perfectly aligned” with the iOS 7 look and feel.
