Lightning strikes on ‘Meet the Press’ tease

In this week’s installment of over-the-top graphics, we give you the opening tease from NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Now, we don’t believe stock footage of an actual lightning strike on the U.S. Capitol dome was used, nor do we believe the building really turned blue.
Of course, the effect was used to illustrate the crazy week in the House of Representatives, where a divided party is trying to settle on a new leader. “Meet the Press” resisted from using illustrative effects on the rest of the opening tease.
