Welcome back, Gracie: ‘Will & Grace’ returns with updated design

New open

In addition to the set updates, the production team also opted for an updated theme song.

While it retains the same fast paced beat, it’s been (garlic)-jazzed up a bit with new intrumentals incorporated and updated episodic clips in the background.

The theme song and open, at least in the debut episode, now bleed over the cold open and first act of the show ever-so-slightly, rather than the more “hard” top between the elements on the previous incarnation.

The show’s credits typography, while keeping the trademark mix of uppercase and lowercase letters — along with italics sprinkled in — now renders all letters the same size, instead of the “small caps” style it used before.
