2017 in Review: MSNBC launches new shows, celebrates longtime favorite

Two MSNBC programs also got redesigns in 2017 — the first being “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” which switched to a red, white and blue look that emphasized the “R” and “D” in the show’s name — corresponding to the common abbreviation for Republican and Democrat.


In addition, Chuck Todd’s daily MSNBC show “MTP Daily” got a new look that reflected the look its parent show, “Meet the Press,” got the week before.
