Network newscasts cover Tillerson firing

All three of the major network newscasts lead with now former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s firing Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

“ABC World News Tonight” used its large curved video wall to showcase a “departure board” style graphic — one that is decidedly simpler than the one “The Rachel Maddow Show” has been using.

ABC’s take on the board included vacant slots at the State Department as well.

Anchor David Muir opened the newscast with the headline “Fired on Twitter” shown behind him.
