Spokane station debuts updated look

The set trades its more traditionally shaped anchor desk with a round, glass topped surface which, although not the “boomerang” design found at other Tegna stations, could also be used for “in the road” setups.

The set’s weather center printed graphics have been replaced with additional backlit frosted panels. The monitor count in this area has been reduced in favor of larger panels.

Meanwhile, a larger video wall surrounded with a backlit panels and wood can serve as a standup background and alternative anchor desk background.

This video wall, along with a triptych of vertically mounted video screens in a former secondary area area, can be used as an additional standup area or, with the anchor desk placed between the two arrays, as one of two video walls behind talent.

KREM also switched to Tegna’s flat and blocky new graphics package, keeping its old logo, though, in most applications, it is a single color and often appears inside a rectangle.
