First promo for ‘Amanpour & Company’ on PBS released

Christiane Amanpour’s self-titled program was added to the PBS lineup following the fallout from investigations into Charlie Rose, ending his long-running nightly public affairs and interview program.

Originally reairing a condensed version of Amanpour’s CNN program, next week PBS will launch a new version of “Amanpour” adding contributors and expanding the show into an hour-long format.

With the addition of Walter Isaacson, Michel Martin, Alicia Menendez and Hari Sreenivasan, the show will now be known as “Amanpour & Company,” with interviews and discussions occurring from both London and the Tisch WNET Studios at Lincoln Center in New York City.

CNN will continue to produce the show for PBS in a collaboration with WNET.

The first promo shows the revised format, with the contributors conducting interviews alongside Amanpour, combining them into the new format.

“Amanpour & Company” debuts Monday, September 10.
