“NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt posted a photo to Instagram show his point of view from putting on one of his famous intrepid live shots during his coverage of Hurricane Florence.
The shot shows a crew of four — one handheld camera operator, two guys holding a large portable light and a fourth holding tablet-turned-teleprompter next to the camera lens — all gathering around him in the stormy weather Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018.
Not only does this unique shot give us a unique look at behind the scenes of television news and exactly how much dedication and effort it takes to put on a broadcast from less than ideal conditions, but it’s a great reminder of all the hard working people behind the scenes who work hard to deliver important news.
