Gray releases first look at Greta Van Susteren show logo

Gray Television, which hired former Fox, MSNBC and CNN host Greta Van Susteren as its chief political analyst, has announced the launch of “Full Court Press,” a political analysis and interview show.

The show is cleared to appear on Gray stations in 93 markets as well as in the Chicago and Milwaukee markets, will also be sold on a syndicated basis in other markets.

Van Susteren will host the show from Gray’s studios in Washington, D.C. — with a September 2019 debut planned.

The show will also have a local slant — with a look at how national policy affects local communities.

In addition, a digital series called “Full Court Press Overtime” will be available on streaming platforms and the show’s website.

The show’s logo design features a sans serif typeface with custom a custom “P” and “R”s. Two ring segments, in red and blue, occupies the lower left of the lockup.

In the graphic released by Gray in April 2019, a U.S. map background is also used — which, somewhat unusually, includes the states of Alaska and Hawaii (albeit in the “inset” positions they traditionally appear in). Gray has stations in both of these states, so it was likely important to include them.

Prior to joining Gray, Van Susteren, who is a lawyer by training, appeared during CNN’s O.J. Simpson trial coverage, which led to her hosting “Burden of Proof” and “The Point.”

In 2012, she jumped to Fox, where she hosted “On the Record” until 2017, when she joined MSNBC to host the similarly titled “For the Record,” which lasted less than six months before being canceled. Along with the cancellation, Van Susteren left MSNBC.

Gray announced her hiring in February 2019.
