Networks cover partial caucus data release on evening newscasts

Here’s how the “big three” networks lead with the news that the Iowa democratic party had released partial results from the Iowa caucus — just under 30 minutes before airtime for the east coast feeds on Feb. 4, 2020.

It’s worth noting that most of the results graphics were updated to display the correct “precincts reporting” percentage to be around 62% rather than the 95 to 99% the real time graphics were originally showing earlier that evening.
