Ignite was commissioned by Amazon Prime Video to design and deliver the full on-screen graphics package for “Monday Night Hockey,” which launched with the 2024-2025 NHL season.
The project centered on the puck as the primary visual and functional element, using it as a timer, navigation device and recurring brand motif. The design approach acknowledged hockey’s traditions while pushing visual boundaries through a mix of 2D and 3D motion graphics.
The graphic system featured the “Prime Puck,” which functioned both as a branding element and as a viewer-facing tool, including a PowerPlay countdown used during games.
Teams in London and Auckland collaborated under a tight deadline to produce opening titles, in-show bumpers and match graphics. The finished designs were handed off to Amazon’s production partners, including AE Live, which built the Vizrt package and integrated league and game data from the NHL.
