WBRC-TV, the Fox affiliate serving Birmingham, Ala., has debuted a new set from FX Group.

More commentary and another image after the jump.

The set features faux stonework along with a camera center plasma screen mounted on a freestanding wall. Flanking this are low railings that sit in front of a floor-to-ceiling cityscape dura that creates a dramatic effect.

The set also features a standup area with vertical flat screens and a secondary set, shown in the photo below.

This area of the set has a background of layered imagery that appears to be made from plexiglass or other similar material. The effect is a bit dull, however, and lacks any color. There is a nice sense of depth in this background, however, but the area seems somewhat incomplete with just a dark gray material backing it.

The station has a live Web cam available to see the studio.
