The new set, from Jack Morton/PDG, uses a much more polished and clean look that previous designs seen in the space. The new set is dominated by backlit blue elements that match the show’s graphics package and also allows the studio’s Times Square views to stand out.

Overall, the new look is a big improvement over the show’s previous looked, which featured some odd textural elements and a mix of color palettes.

The new look is also a good example of how a good set doesn’t necessarily need to be overly complex.
