UPDATED: New information about set and design company.
Insiders are telling NewscastStudio that WNEP-TV, the ABC affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, will unveil its new set tomorrow during the 4 p.m. newscast.
The set was scheduled to go into commission a week ago, but some last-minute adjustments and technical issues pushed the debut.
We’re told the new desk is a refresh from the previous set but the walls are new. The set will now feature a three-by-three flat screen video wall that will allow producers to feed story-related graphics and video behind the anchor two shot.
The set was designed in-house but built by FX Group.
We hope to have more details and photos soon.
