Facebook + Journalists, an effort from the social media site to help journalists find better ways to make use of the platform for distributing news, has compiled a list of journalists using the site’s new “Subscribe” feature.
The feature, launched last week, allows users to “follow” updates from a person, company or brand similar without having to be “friends” with them or “liking” them. Some analysts have drawn a direct connection to this feature and Twitter’s following concept.
The feature is a great way to distribute content and allow more users to see your material.
One key point of this feature, however, is that it must be activated by social media managers to be used.
To help facilitate journalists making use of it, Facebook has provided screenshots of how to set up the feature and a e-document with more information.
