This morning both “Good Morning America” and the “Today Show” launched new graphic packages.
The new “GMA” look uses ribbons of color. One interesting note is how the open is now using mainly the colors of the “Today Show” logo, and not the blue seen on the rest of the graphics. The open uses bright reds and oranges, but blue is missing.
Then on the lower third, blue and white returns.
Overall, the new graphics are an improvement over the previous angle package. The new package seems more polished and looks nicer on air. The angles were a good idea, and different at the time, but now CBS uses them for “This Morning.”
A new theme also debuted with the graphics.
