Nine-year-old’s weather forecast goes viral

William Harvey, a 9-year-old student form North Dakota, has made a big splash on the Internet since his appearance Thursday on KVLY-TV, the NBC affiliate in Fargo, N.D.

Harvey appeared alongside meteorologist Hutch Johnson during the station’s 5 p.m. newscast’s weather segment and gave a standout performance that’s getting rave reviews around the Web for his enthusiasm and style.

It’s especially impressive given that not only is Harvey’s age less than most of the temperatures he’s discussing, but doesn’t have any formal weather training.
