ESPN remains number one in digital following strong 2017

ESPN’s website finished the year ahead of 2016 and number one in the sports world following a solid December.

Averaging 118.6 million unique users per month from around the globe, December saw 125.6 million unique global users, it’s fifth best month ever. Overall, ESPN.com was up 6 percent over 2016, topping 1.2 billion visits.

For comparison, NBC Sports and Yahoo Sports each averaged 79.3 million uniques in December, with CBS Sports at 68.9 million.

Across mobile platforms, ESPN Digital remained number one with 80 percent of total page views and 70 percent of unique users consuming ESPN content through mobile devices worldwide, according to a company release.
